There was Christmas, which was spent getting up to all sorts of festive shenanigans with friends. Christmas is always followed by New Year’s. This one was celebrated snowboarding on the slopes of Muju … Continue reading
When it comes to this blog, I’ve been lazy and unmotivated for the last 2 months. But after recharging on an amazing holiday that I have just come back from, I feel ready to start blogging again.
Even though I haven’t been blogging, I have been busy doing other things. I helped organise a very festive Christmas (it’s not easy planning Christmas for 20+ people!) I went on an icy snowboarding weekend over New Year. I planned, and went on, holiday to the Philippines and Hong Kong. And I am in full organising mode for leaving Korea at the end of this month. Well, I am planning on being in full organising mode for leaving Korea at the end of this month!
Only one month left! I can’t quite believe that the end is finally here. And although I am very sad about leaving this country, I can’t wait for the adventure that lies ahead.
So far the adventure includes:
3 weeks in Southern Thailand where I will meet my family for 2 weeks on Koh Samui and Koh Pangang. The following week I will head across the peninsular and then back to Bangkok to fly to Vietnam.
I am meeting 2 friends in Hanoi and we’ll have 5 weeks to travel south to Ho Chi Min and west into Cambodia.
After that we’ll cross back into Thailand to see the North and then make the crossing into Laos.
The next step is the uncertain part. I will either fly home from Bangkok or head further south into Malaysia and Indonesia. But so far I am pretty pleased with how the trip is panning out.
There is a lot to look forward to in the coming months and I hope you will follow along with me as I make my journey across South East Asia. But in the coming days you can look forward to stories and pictures from the past 2 months. I hope you enjoy them.
I hope you will join me on my journey!
My winter holiday is all booked. Well mostly. But it’s more exciting to say ‘it’s all booked’!
I am off to the Philippines and Hong Kong in January, which feels ages away, but I am still really excited!
It all happened rather quickly due to the massive sale that was going on on the Cebu Pacific website. Unfortunelty I only caught the tail end of the sale, but I was still pretty pleased with nabbing a ticket from Cebu to Hong Kong for less than $60.
So far I have flights booked to take me to the magical island of Coron. It looks truly incredible. Crystal clear waters, limestone cliffs, mystical lakes, an abundance of fish. Could I ask for any more?
After Coron I’ll be heading to Cebu. I still have to work out the details, but Bohol sounds like a good place to explore. And then I’ll be jetting off to Hong Kong to celebrate the begining of the Year of the Dragon on the 23rd of January.
Does anyone have any recommendations of things to do or places to stay?
